We’re excited and very grateful to Lauren Ohnesorge for writing an article in the Triangle Business Journal about our Meaningful Work Grant! Click here to see the original posting

Full Text: Consulting firm Vivisum Partners is looking for a few good entrepreneurs – specifically those who could use $5,000. The Durham firm has initiated what it’s calling the 2014 Meaningful Work Grant, but it’s not just a check. It’s free consulting – 50 hours over the course of eight months of what it calls “organizational strategy consulting.” Specifically, it’s looking for socially-oriented startups “whose primary objective is to increase the general welfare of the local community, with financial returns being of secondary importance.” And companies have to be located in the Triangle to participate. “It kind of hits close to home to us,” says Ellen Hart, associate consultant at Vivisum. “We consider ourselves an entrepreneurial organization. We started up in 2011 and we’re a very small company. We just hired our fourth person, so we can kind of relate to the whole idea of wanting to start your own business, to take a different philosophy than your competitors.” Applications are due July 31. To submit an application, click Here or contact Ellen Hart at Ellen.Hart@vivisumpartners.com.
